I wrote my first review on Little Bird about three years ago.
It happens that my brand new Little Bird (yes, one more) reached me today and I find it compulsory to write another review on it because the Little Bird that I have in my hands now has the sound and feel of a Concert Bm Butch Hall Flute.
Well, Butch Hall does not make Concert Bm Flutes, yet my new Little Bird plays and sounds and feels like my Concert Gm Butch Hall Flute only that in Bm.
That meaning it has perfect tuning and articulation, great fluency and a most beautiful singing voice, a beautiful finish and the delicious smell of the eastern red cedar plus that kind of pinkish color to the wood that only Nature can create.
Definitely, one cannot go wrong with these guys. The Butch Hall team is just like wine: getting better and better as times goes by.

I owned a D Minor flute made by you in 2009. It was a dream come true, and beautiful in every way. Unfortunately, I just lost it to the hurricane, along with everything else. I will be owning one of of every key! I love everything about this line of flutes. I own a number of flutes and these are the favorite above all. I also agree with all the other reviews written here as well. One thing to add to the above reviews is that these flutes are a great gift for anyone because they are so easily played. You will not be disappointed.

I have been collecting flutes for some time. Now after finding Butch Hall flutes the only flutes I need to collect are Butch Hall! I own an A and a F# concert flute and after I post this I will be ordering a D. I’m hoping to add all of the concert flutes. Life is to short to not have these incredible sounding flutes in my life! That does not mean I am leaving my Le Mita Cola (my friend – this is its meaning in Lakota language) behind because both models are just perfect for the kind of musical atmosphere one wants to create. A more intimate musical atmosphere ? My choice is Le Mita Cola. A concert like experience? Then, I reach for the Concert Flute. Both models are a must, really. Now, a bit more on the Concert: it has a wider windway area (when compared to the `Le Mita Cola´) with its anodized metal nest that gives the flute its outstanding deep and beautiful voice, perfect articulation and intonation throughout its range, 100% reliability on every single note (never to squeak), wonderful fluency and at last but not least, it is beautiful like heaven. Impossible to put it down once I start playing it. Thank you Butch and Laura for enriching our lives with your Flutes!´

I received the flute I ordered (three days ago, I might add) and I am blown away by it. The quality is much better than I expected. I expected a thin, maybe glued together, flute for $65. No, this thing is is solid. Beautiful. Elegant. Better than I even dreamed of. The sound is amazing. It even smells beautiful! You could tell that this company takes pride in their workmanship, just by the packaging. A how to play guide, a cheat sheet of notes, a hand written thank you card, and even a list of flute circles local to me ( I’m in Ohio. They looked them up!) . The flute is so beautiful. The experence of ordering was better than any online store I have shopped at. If I ever order another, I will get it from Butch Hall Flutes!

I received my concert A Minor in Red Cedar this morning. What a beautiful instrument it is. It is very responsive and has good tone and volume. The cedar smells absolutely wonderful. This is my second Butch Hall flute and it won’t be my last. If you are looking for your first flute or just wanting an A Minor for your collection, you should really give this flute serious consideration. The Hall family have fine flutes and great customer service.

Got my Butch Hall E minor in the mail this morning. Absolutely wonderful instrument. Will be buying more of the Hall family flutes in the near future. The craftsmanship is superb and has great beauty in it’s simplicity. The tone and intonation are excellent. You can’t go wrong buying these flutes.
